Top Ten Lessons I've Learned Since High School

In honor of my 5-year reunion that never took place, I would like to share a few things that I have learned since I entered the "real world" on that graduation day of 2006:

10. Find your compassion and show it to every person and animal you meet (though its going to take more than compassion to free all the animals living in captivity).
9. You can only speak, write, and teach what you know.  The reverse is true: You cannot speak, write, or teach what you do not know (just check Wikipedia).
8. Every person, place, thing, or idea has something to offer (even Rebecca Black).
7. The only thing that stays the same is that everything is constantly changing (unless you wake up and it's Groundhog Day).
6. People grow. People grow apart. And people grow together (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inosculation).
5. Man can move mountains.  The reverse is true: Man can destroy mountains ("destroy" is not the reverse of "move," but you get my point).
4. Get lost in nature, music, and art and then get inspired or at least dance (or at least tap your foot).
3. Happiness can only be found right now (while you are reading this blog.  so, smile).
2. What's the meaning of your life?  You create it (yep, you get to decide which ice cream flavor is most meaningful to you).
1. Be proud of where you come from. Waldron, I carry you around with me everyday (along with my parent's genes including my mother's calves).
